Commencement of Registration and Registration Deadline

The registration process for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2nd series, commenced on the date of this announcement. 

Candidates are advised to take swift action as the registration period will end promptly on Friday, August 27th, 2023.

Online Registration Process

Registration for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2nd series, is facilitated through the online platform. 

To initiate the registration process, candidates must first acquire the Registration PIN, which serves as the key to accessing the online registration portal. 

Once in possession of the PIN, proceed to the official registration website at www.waeconline.org.ng. 

The process is designed to incorporate biometric features, ensuring a secure and reliable validation process during examinations.

Registration Fees and Payment Modes

Candidates are required to make a registration payment of Eighteen Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty Naira (N18,000) only. 

This fee can be paid at various branches of accredited banks or authorized agents. The following financial institutions are designated for payment:

Walk-in Candidates

Candidates who miss the regular registration window have the option to register as "Walk-in Candidates." 

However, to take advantage of this provision, candidates must complete their registration at least twenty-four hours prior to the scheduled paper(s) they intend to sit for. The fee for Walk-in Candidates is Thirty Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N30,500.00) only.

Special Needs Candidates

Candidates with specific needs are encouraged to register online like other candidates. However, it's vital to clearly indicate any impairments such as visual, low vision, spastic, speech-related, or hearing difficulties during the registration process.

Registration Locations

Candidates can complete their registration by visiting accredited banks, cyber cafes, WAEC offices, and designated "WAEC REGISTRATION POINTS" in their vicinity for PIN purchase and registration.

Completion of Registration and Examination Rules

Candidates are required to finalize their registration within two weeks from their initial access to the registration website during the stipulated registration period. 

It's imperative to ensure that all personal details, including names, gender, passport photographs, dates of birth, and subject choices, are accurate. 

The Admission Notice, provided upon successful registration, serves as identification during the examination. 

Additionally, the Result Checker PIN is included in the Admission Notice. 

General Guidelines and Regulations

Candidates should review the Information VCD before initiating registration.

The registration fee is non-refundable.

Stay updated with the examination timetable on the official website.

Passport photographs must be of high quality, either black and white or color, with the dimensions of 275 by 314 pixels and a resolution of 72 dpi. The background should provide a strong contrast.

Candidates appearing at multiple centers risk the cancellation of their entire results.

The examination hall is a smoke-free zone.

The presence of mobile phones or electronic gadgets inside the examination hall leads to result cancellation.

Candidates are accountable for the accuracy of their registration details.

Strict adherence to COVID-19 regulations is mandatory.
